I know I'm not the first and I know I definitely won't be the last to ask for help on Half-Life 2 installation.
Well, I have the eighty dollar collector's edition which required me to get a new computer in order to actually play. e.e I can't update my drivers on the other computer. The game installed fine, but it won't let me play. Steam has to update itself, though I keep getting some message saying that it needs to be updated. So, I consider it fine; I'll just let the thing update. Though when nearing the end of the updating, it says that Steam can't operate offline.
I have DSL, the computer is always online. Which is baffling me and leaving me with no choice but to ask for help on a Half-Life 2 site. @.@ Help..?
