Silent Hill: Homecoming Coming To Steam

Konami US announced that Silent Hill: Homecoming is going to be released next month on Steam.

Konami's US branch has announced that the PC version of Silent Hill: Homecoming will arrive via Steam in September, suggesting the delayed November release for all three versions is just for Europe.

Silent Hill Homecoming marks the fifth story in the Silent Hill mythos, and introduces a new protagonist to the mysterious town. The story follows Alex Shepherd, who returns to his hometown of Shepherd's Glen to investigate the sudden disappearance of his brother and the strange occurrences taking place around town. Shepherd unravels a tale that takes him from his boyhood home to the fog-shrouded streets of Silent Hill, as he faces the darkest horrors of his soul to find his missing brother.

The company also confirmed that the PC-DVD release of the game will ship simultaneously with the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. According to Konami, the PC version will be identical to its console brethren.

They should just re-release the old ones one steam.

Translation: We just did a quick port of the 360 code and didn't even bother with mouse and keyboard controls, get a gamepad or go screw yourself.

It kind of bothers me when everyone complains about these type of ports. I would rather have crippled/gamepad only PC ports rather than no ports. Not all of us have consoles, you know. And how much is a damn gamepad? $30 for a fancy one?

It would be great if they had a complete pack with all 5 games.

Best horror series by far.

Atleast Microsoft took time with their damn ports so that PC users who hate using controllers don't get f*cked over.
