Silver version of HL2 in UK?

Hey guys, is it possible to buy the silver version of HL2 over steam, if i live in the UK?? I guess, i just buy it, on the steam website, and then download the lot of it, and then it just charges my account, conversion of dollars to GB£'s??

Any1 done this? What happens if ur computer dies from virus or something, is it linked to your steam account, and if u reformat or whatever, can u just log on to steam again and download it??

Sorry, so many questions, must be sounding like a bit of a n00b!, i just need to know before i hand over their hard earned money to valve, vivendi etc....

you can just log into steam again and use it. You may purchase Steam over the net with a Visa or Mastercard, a conversion site is www.xe.com and add on tax... Valve dont.

Yes you can, it may be a large download but its worth it.
They managed to wait till the exchange rates were tiny before charging me, got it for £38.
