Simple "name" question

Guys I am new to playing CS:S or any other CS game on line. I have played many other FPS but recently go into this. SO I am a noob but not entirely one.

The question surrounds what are the restrictions on names and the ways to manipulate them to the way you desire?

I have a clan tag that has the character ' in it.

The tag is "7th E's". Now my name actually shows up in game as:

7th E ' s

The game inserted a space before and after the '.

So the question is how do I overcome this? I have tried to hardcode it in the .cfg and the gam allows me to re-name correctly once in the game from Options. But it always defaults back to the extra spaces.

Hope that was more clear than muddy water. And forgive me for sucha trivial stupid question.

Try changing it in your config, put your name in quotes as well.

name "7th E's 1337name"
