Simpsons finale!!!

Damn, only a season finale, why can't they just let the show DIE!

the actors all had their contracts renewed to 2008

The Simpsons is complete crap now, it started in about the...5th or 6th season I think.
 
How much would you say a guy like Dan Castellaneta would stand to make for a single season of The Simpsons?

It's sad I knew how to spell that name. I think that's right anyways.

And I agree, just END IT. The Simpsons suck now. It was good until probably season 9. Even parts of Season 9 started to suck. Then again parts of Seaosn 10 were good I believe.

I don't think i've actually seen any of the new episodes cause they keep repeating the first 4 or 5 seasons :frown:

Best simpsons episode: A weekend at burnies

Best futurama episode: ALL

Take a f***ing hint fox!!! :flame:
 
Yeah...and what about the "American Dad" Or something. I don't know the name, but its along the lines of Family Guy, and he shoots a toaster....Just a toaster, this time. Hes part of the CIA or something.
 
Bah. I was hoping to see a true finale discussed in here. Don't push the damn series to death, Fox. 'Course, for some, it died a long time ago...
 
Futurama > Simpsons :( The Simpsons are just stupid now. I still watch them, but the old episodes are much better. I wish they'd bring back Futurama, man I love that show :)
 
Yeah, they have been showing Futurama on Sky recently, and I just can't get my head round the fact that its not longer being made...
 
I'm not sure fox actually give us a reason for cancelling it :hmph:
It's so hard to belive theres only 4 seasons :( but the show did get nominated for two emmys ! :D so maybe fox will see the light :angel:
 
Meh, I dont care for American Dad. It's too much like Family Guy... except it isn't Family Guy.
 
Well, I guess it is...But it isnt exactly trying to be different. Its supposed to be another story in the Family Guy world really.

I love simpsons but we get 24/7 reruns and the latest shows we have here are from 2000-2001.. :|
 
I've been watching The Simpsons since I was like 10 years old, but it has just sucked so much these past couple of years that I don't watch anything except the old reruns now.

I mean, when they do an episode that revolves around Marge getting breast implants, you know the show has hit rock bottom. I just can't believe the writers are getting paid for this shit.

Futurama was so much better than the Simpsons, and Fox gave it the boot. And it was about half as cheap per episode because they didn't have to give the voice actors 1 rolls royce per episode (or whatever the simpsons voice actors are demanding now).

I've been a fan of The Simpsons for a long time but in its current state I wouldn't whine if they canned it.
 
American dad will be no good..reason : there will be no Stewie from family guy.

I also would love to see futurama come back
 
Actually Futurama was pretty expensive to make. The amount of CG that they used was definately somewhere in the millions.

Futurama was very well put together. If it's not the humor, it's the sci-fi, or even the realism of the characters.

They made a cyclops appear normal. Within second s you would think Leela is a regular person, despite having only one eye.
Zapp Brannigan has terrific one-liners that will stick with you for days.
And even the robot, Bender, came off as the most human.

Unfortunately Futurama was usually cut-off due to long football airings, and thus was unable to get a good fanbase. It is still one of the best animated cult shows of all time.
 
A Weekend at Burnzies?? What are you on? That episode was awful.

The best Simpsons episode by far is Last Exit to Springfield.

And as much as I love Futurama, no way it is as good as Simpsons seasons 3-7.

Are you serious? I would never think any of thoses things were actually real life. And they didnt use CG did they? it just looked like a regular cartoon.

Adult swim is the best and it has the best shows that everyone likes. I think Fox should pay adult swim a lot of money for keeping Family Guy alive for almost 2 or 3 years after being canceled. Futurama is a grate show but the time slot was Sunday at 7pm after the NFL and I mean after.

You see that's how it works on these networks if the network bosses or people who work there don't like your show they put it on at a bad time or they change the time slots over and over again like they did with Family Guy, so people would never know when it was coming on anymore and stop looking for it. They only want to put shows on that get on magazine covers and are talked about a lot. I mean dose anyone remember Dawson's Creep and how much that show sucked and it was not realistic at all. :borg:

Yeah, Family guy has been my favorite show since I saw the first episode, I bought both DVD sets...and yeah I'm just as hyped about it coming back. Not only did FOX realize it's mistake and un-cancel the show(which I have never heard of happening) but also asked Seth MacFarlane to create a second show(American Dad)
 
so, you're all glad the simpsons are getting canceled, because simpsons has become complete crap?

Nope they did use CG, its a shading effect called "Cel-Shaded", makes things look like a cartoon.

Family Guy is comming back sometime in 2005, Seth said December/January, but many sites think it is going to be delayed 'till summer.
