Sin 1: How the hell do I get this to work online?

Am I missing something here? I launch Sin Multiplayer, I go to join game, I refresh the server list and nothing...All I get is a litle message down the bottom saying that I should quit out of the game and launch steam to join a game...But I launched THIS from Steam...

What am I missing?
