One cool thing about the episodic release is that SiN Episodes doesn't have to follow the same rules that other singular, start-to-finish titles do. For example, chronological order shouldn't be strictly assumed as prequel episodes may pop up, as could replays through existing episodes from the perspective of a second character.

As far as the future of the series goes, the next chapter of SiN Episodes should hit six to eight months after Emergence. In addition, Ritual is working on a multiplayer release that may actually hit before the second chapter. One especially bright aspect of the series' future is Ritual's desire to see it land on the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Marketplace. If this does end up happening, it will showcase the potential of Microsoft's download service and pave the way for all sorts of fun for 360 owners.

What does Ritual see for the future of SiN Episodes? A multi-player version is in the works, and will be developed based on survey results. Ritual will have extended hardware support, High Dynamic Range (HDR) lighting source technical upgrades, never before seen game play, future episodes, and the original SiN available via Steam.

i seriously cant wait for this game. The original was so innovative. I actaully just picked it up for 2 bucks in a bargan bin!!! But the gameplay video makes me want the game more than the videos for HL2

i don't know... judging from the video preview it all looks very impressive, but there are some things which i just don't like. the men's voices for example 'OH MY GOD I AM SHOT IN THE FACE! AHH I'M ON FIRE AND I'M DYING!! OWWWWW!'

just seems a bit slapstick all round, a bit more duke nukem and a bit less elegant sci-fi. i'm hoping neo-tokyo will be the answers to my NEEDS!!

seriously though, there is no game out there that i can truly say 'this is the game i want to play'. some come very close, but when is someone gonna make a really great sci-fi epic? set in a city, with futuristic vehicles etc etc.
