Since ive been playing HL2

My computer has been getting CPU over heats, Memory allocation errors, and random shutdowns followed by windows not starting properly, these all seem to happen while i am playing HL2, What should i do?

hl2 seems to stress the pc a lot, more than most games. if your cpu is overheating, you need to either get some better cooling on it, or underclock your processor. a possible quick solution for cooler temperature would be taking off the side of your case, and maybe pointing a room fan at it.
