Skinning and Texture Tutorial

I'm going to do a quick run through of it now, and i'll post what i get out of it

these wont really be of much help coz i dont think we can go up to 3000 x 3000 which is whats needed for such detail.
and who would want to spend so much time on it anyways?
 
yeah it does take ages...I'm on 1.5/512 adsl, at still takes ages..guh

but you will be able to do higher textures once the hardware allowes it. cuz valve will create patched with increased polycount's higher textures and the possebility of creating higher textures, better quality sound.. you name it. so the content will get better looking as hardware evolves
 
anyway. the pro's work on very high texture formats. 5000 x 5000 or some even higher :/ and they can just resize it. touch it up a bit to still have all those tiny details and they have thier textures ready to go
 
well some of the real tiny flick and stuff just become either blurry to the extent of no repair or just plain ugly id rather just paint my own texture and leave bump maping for just a lil shading .
