I noticed in the post your start menu thread a lot of people use custom themes for WinXP. I was wondering what programs do this and where i could find them.

Yar, it be a fine catch but why do yee want to skin it? Surely it be better to place it up above the fire. /pirate

I've tried skinning windoze numerous times and for some reason everytime I do it slows down. Bet it's just a Craigism, and no one has the same problem.. but yeah, 'StyleXP' was the one I tried.

I would get GeoShell...It doesn't "skin" windows, it basically replaces the whole interface.

StyleXP is great, simple to use and eats practically no resources.

So is there any that doesn't take up any resources?

Edit:Stylexp if I can remember takes up a lot...but that must have been comp problems.

Well I just launched Task manager and I'm looking at StyleXPService.exe, mem usage is 3064K :)

3 mb...I only have 256.So I need every bit I can use. :D

meh, why use an external program? You can just get a modified uxtheme.dll

This cuts out the need for middle-man software, and lets you fully utilize StyleXP skins without StyleXP. Obviously, it uses no extra RAM than Windows themes :)

Could I use windows blinds with that also?

OMG!!!Thanks for that link shuzer! Also does it work with Window Blinds???
