Skybox Disable-able?

Is there some command that can be put into the console to disable (or the effects in) the skybox? The superportal in Episode 2 lags my computer whenever I look in it's general direction. You can imagine its quite a nuisance.

r_sky 0 ?
it's one of the r_ commands anyway, open the console and just check through all the r_ commands, you'll find it eventually.

Yeah, you're really missing out on that, I'd upgrade your computer just to watch the Superportal!

I just didn't know what letter to start with, but I guess "r" makes sense for "render".
My video card's good enough anyway! It can handle all the settings on high, the blur effects, and HDR (also, I've seen enough of the portal on Internet videos).

There was no strain on my X1950pro whatsoever, and it's not particularly brilliant.
