Skype is a online voice coms thing, its basicaly MSN but the main feature being voice coms rather than chat, although it does let you do it as well.

Its rather good because the quailty is pretty much phone quaility and allows you to connect from behind any router or firewall.

Imagine roger wilco but a hell of alot easier to setup and join channels. It might not appeal to some, but we have to us it at uni because of our firewall. Oh yeah and it runs good on 56K
