A whole bunch of new songs have been announced, including Raining Blood by Slayer and Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce (which will reportedly be a bonus track, so you don't have to play it if you're gonna get all pissy :p ). An unknown Metallica track was also announced, which GameDaily BIZ is reporting to be a master track of One.

This is the setlist so far:

* "3's and 7's" ? Queens of the Stone Age
* "Barracuda" ? Heart
* "Cherub Rock" ? Smashing Pumpkins
* "Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll" ? Blue ?yster Cult
* "Cult of Personality" ? Living Colour
* "Even Flow" ? Pearl Jam
* "Knights of Cydonia" ? Muse
* "La Grange" ? ZZ Top
* "Lay Down" ? Priestess
* "The Metal" ? Tenacious D
* "Miss Murder" ? AFI
* "Mississippi Queen" ? Mountain
* "My Name Is Jonas" ? Weezer
* "The Number of the Beast" - Iron Maiden
* "One" ? Metallica
* "Paint It, Black" ? The Rolling Stones
* "Paranoid" ? Black Sabbath
* "Raining Blood" ? Slayer
* "Reptilia" ? The Strokes
* "Rock and Roll All Nite" ? Kiss
* "Rock You Like a Hurricane" ? Scorpions
* "Sabotage" ? Beastie Boys
* "School's Out" ? Alice Cooper
* "She Builds Quick Machines" ? Velvet Revolver
* "Slow Ride" ? Foghat
* "Suck My Kiss" - Red Hot Chili Peppers
* "Through the Fire and Flames" - DragonForce
* "Welcome to the Jungle" ? Guns N' Roses

Here's a quick clip of the Dragonforce song in action:

All I can say is holy shit Raining Blood and One! :D

RAIIIIIINING BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! :D

And One! :D

omg @ dragonforce. I can't even do Mother on Expert.

WHERE DO I GETS A WHATEVER THIS GAME IS ON?

Damnit, I want to play GUITAAARRR HEEERROOO!!!

Needs more Angel of Death tbh.

Glad to see some EV QOTSA up there though, booyah

lol @ dragonforce

the solo part looks especially difficult on the gh 2 one:

Ohh boy, that dragonforce song looks...not hard, but...not easy. I don't know, watching it, and playing with my fingers that first part is easily doable. Hold down green, and just hit the other notes for all hammers. But it will definitely take alot of skill to get through. I can't wait...I CANT F*CKING WAIT!

They should have got Vader's cover of "Raining Blood" instead. The Slayer original is completely destroyed in every way by it.

That Dragonforce song sure is annoying, but at least it looks like it's going to be pretty difficult to play.

Not Vader, but you might like this.

Is he even speaking English, or just yelling random things?

Haha, I don't like them myself, although I'm seeing them live in October. :| Ooh errr.

Whoa... Feels crazy to see Anaal Nathrakh in a PS2 game ('custom' track or not). Not really a 'guitar hero' type of band though, at least not compared to wankery like Dragonforce.

As for AN, they were a good band before they started trying to sound like Emperor. Codex Necro is the album to listen to.

I can't wait for this shit.

I confess I don't really care about Metallica or Slayer though.

I keep meaning to getting around to having a proper sit down with AN as people on the Damnation Festival boards go mental over AN, but from what I've heard it's a bit meh. I met Mick after the Mistress set at Damnation 06, though, and he's a dead sound bloke. He's making a proper name for himself with all the shit that guy does for bands/projects.

I'm liking this tracklist a lot more than the lists for GH1 and 2.

Yeah, a friend and I met Mick/Migg/'Irrumator'(lol) years back at an Ephel Duath + Mistress gig. I didn't have much interest in talking to him (since I didn't have much to say other than 'good job'), but my friend did and he seemed like a friendly guy.

Anaal had a great album in 'The Codex Necro'. Had a really thick, filthy atmosphere, utterly putrid vocals, with songs that verge on groovy in parts. The riffing was catchy and simple like old Mayhem. The 'When Fire Rains Down...' EP was also good in this way. I would be inclined to bet that the hype they're getting is for their latest 2 albums, only 1 of which I've heard and I didn't like it much. It sounded like they were trying to become more of a 'proper' band, with cleaner production, live drums, clean-sung parts and brighter sounding epic breaks. Kind of defeats the point of the band if they're not focussing on their 'total ****ing necro' vibe. Horses for courses though.

Loving it. Can't wait :)

Now if I could only pass those last few songs on expert before it comes out...

Damn you Megadeath. Damn you Suicidal Tendencies. Pre-emptive damn you Lynard Skynard :(

Gonna be great this year with two music games (Rock Band and GH3) coming out

Getting to play Cherub Rock and Even Flow = much more exciting than this shit.

But... I like Emperor. :(
So do I, but there can be only one ;) For most bands, aiming for melodic, epic BM is just a path to mediocrity, especially if they had something good and different to start with (ie. with Anaal: dense, filthy, brutal BM with lots of electronics).

I want Master of Puppets. A true test of stamina!

Taaaaaaaags.

Edit - Argh sneaky bitch.

Faaahking 'ell. Inhuman would be right.

Lol, anybody can strum through it all :p Hitting them all as hammer on's, THAT'S skill! :p
