Sleep cycles

:naughty: Haha...no:dozey:

That really was an interesting read though. I would have never thought I have these things that make my body run slower, making me sleepy.

lol yah same here, i try to go to bed at 1130 or so but after i get in bed, I cant sleep until like 3

There is a very simple solution: Wear orange glasses to school. Similar to safety glasses
Now you're sleeping fine, but you get your ass kicked on a daily basis.

This reminded me of an experiment I heard of where people wore glasses that turned their view upsidedown. After 3 months they saw things normally.

Then they took the glasses off, and said hello to three months of things being upsidedown again.

Which brings me to my question, who the hell volunteers for stuff like this? :E

I would :(

Yay, if they could make orange shades (which look cool) then kids would like it.

I'm not quite sure what to make of this. Are you saying that these people saw everything inverted when they turned their glasses upside-down? If so, I'd like a pair of these magic glasses. Otherwise, are you just saying that everything was distorted? If so, the eyes will of course adjust to make the clearest image out of what they're given.

As you may (or may not) know, light rays traveling through a tiny hole produce an image that is flipped upsidedown (ever been to a camera obscura?).

These volunteers wore glasses that inverted their view (they didnt normally wear glasses). And, after enough time, thier brains had adapted enough to flip the image, so they saw things normally through the glasses.

Unfortunately, once their brains had adapted to the glasses, they saw things upsidedown when they took the glasses off! So they then had to go through another period of upsidedown vision to get themselves back to normal.

Hell of an excuse for not going to work though.

EDIT: Sorry, my initial timescale was off. According to reports on the net, it only took a few weeks for them to adapt. Sorry to all you people looking for half a year off work!
