I have an 8800gts 640mb right now. What would be better getting a 2nd one and sli them, or get a single 8800gts 512mb?

If you have the money, I would advise you to get another 8800gts 640mb and then SLI them, but thats if you have to have another card so you can go SLI. If you can hold off, I would advise you to wait a little & then upgrade to a 9800 series card. If I already had a 8800gts 640mb & had the cash to blow on a second great card like the 8800gts 640mb, I would just as soon wait.

Around then yeah. I would also suggest waiting for the 9800s. That way, you'll be able to resell your GTS. Supposedly they're going to be a large step above the 8800s, which is hard enough to believe as it is.

My experience with SLI leads me to recommend you get one card rather then two, unless you have proper PSU. I got a new PSU and it blasted forward, but it still is borderline suck.

Sniff.. sniff.. It was a great card..

All this talk of SLI & getting the 9800 series when they come out is making me really.. really jealous. I'm stuck on my old AGP 6800 Ultra. Not exactly a bad card, but getting up there in age.

Sucks to be poor... ;(

I think the 8800GT is a step back in this case for you. The GTS is a beast itself.
