Slow game

Hi i dunno if this question has bein answered and i have looked around but i cant see any treads that answer this! MY question is MY colectors edition of Half Life 2 Runs very slowly and gets jumpy when sound like the voice over plays durring the game!

Im running:
AMD XP 1800+ 1.53GHz
Nvidia FX5200
256Mb Ram
DirectX 9.0c
Lates nvidia Drivers
Win XP SP1

Can anyone suggest a reason its running so slowly?

ram is your problem mate i had 256mb of ram and it was jumpy but when i got another stick it ran fine no jumpyness watsoeva
