Small Question about HDR

Hi guys, got it installed at 11:05 pm last night and had a quick play.

I realised the HDR effects were turned on...even though I have a 9800.....how is this possible? Thought HDR was for higher end cards...

No, it's for all cards with DX 9.0.

I only have a GeForce FX 5950 Ultra and Full HDR is turned on. Only about a 15fps drop. How is this possible?

I have a 9800pro and all HDR was on by default. The game lags slightly when I am spawning but I hate to turn it off cos its so pretty!

I read somewhere that HDR performance is based mainly on how many pipes your GFX card has, not so much the memory/clock speed.

On one map with HDR on full after 5-10 mins i got very choopy game play turn HDR off back to normal?
And iam using a radeon x850xtp a64 @3000 but on most other servers problem went away.
FPS average when spawn very low 20-30 good parts of maps 60-90 HDR on
