â??Hard punches!â? he shouted from the sidelines of a martial arts event called Cage Assault. â??Finish the fight! To the head! To the head!â?

The young man was a member of a fight team at Xtreme Ministries, a small church near Nashville that doubles as a mixed martial arts academy. Mr. Renken, who founded the church and academy, doubles as the teamâ??s coach. The schoolâ??s motto is â??Where Feet, Fist and Faith Collide.â?

Mr. Renkenâ??s ministry is one of a small but growing number of evangelical churches that have embraced mixed martial arts â?? a sport with a reputation for violence and blood that combines kickboxing, wrestling and other fighting styles â?? to reach and convert young men, whose church attendance has been persistently low.

Dropkick Jesus would be proud

LOL, look at those people and their ideologies. We should all be nihilists...

they are really embracing the teachings of jebus

"Let him who is without sin cast the first dropkick".

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you, thus allowing a quick diversion and punch to the temple for massive damage.”

Your quotationsâ?? character encoding will be your undoing.

Or mine. Maybe it's just mine.

Nope, mine is ****ing up too.

Man that would be a pretty awesome church to go to.

"Alright, prayer is over! Everyone partner up and let's do some sparring!"

Just like Fight Club; their leader is completely imaginary.

Religious people with martial arts training... *runs away screaming like little girl*

At least Jesus Didn't Tap. He needs to work on his Jiu Jitsu though, he got caught in a crucifix, which is usually a pretty easy submission to escape.
