SMC networks??????????

its my birthday today and my parents got me cable/dsl router so I can finally have internet in my room. Here's my question, the router is by SMC networks and I just want to know if that is a good company or if I should ask them to take it back to get a different one.

I havn't heard anything bad about them...
They aren't Linksys/Netgear/3Com but it works...right?
I bet similar to D-Link.

its a router, it probably will work no matter who made it.
A company wouldnt make a product that doesnt work then mass produce it and sell it. (except Microsoft)
