symetric multi processing, running two rigs (as one), or multiple processors on one motherboard. Software needs to be set up with it in mind though or there is not much performance increase.

Gabe said they would not add full HT/MP support to HL2 because the performance gaim is minimal, they're gonna focus on 64Bit.

i should still be able to run 'current user application' (HL2), on one processor and force all background apps onto my second CPU.

i'll not get much benefit FPS maybe 4-6, but can still run few other apps without loss.
