I found a really fun thing to do with my flatmate, although i dont know how well it'd work with more than two people or on a different map, but here's what you do.
Set up a server you can go for no time limit.
Each select sniper gun in opposite teams.
Go get each other!

SOunds simple, but i had loads of fun, the obvious places like the crane and the hotel roof are quickly ruled out, and you'll find there are HEAPS of good spots for sniping in the Gulf of Oman map. (my fav is North West, way up in the corner, nearly at the end of the MEC runway, where there's the ruins of a house or something. It's got a hole at lying level that looks out over the whole flat area)

Btw; if patience isnt your thing, dont try this, some rounds take ages.

Here's my favorite sniping spot when playing US, start at the western most flag of the beach, head north east to the MEC airstrip, infiltrate the base and climb up the mini-oilrig and snipe plane&heli campers. If you think you've been spotted, you can always climb back down and head to the mini-bunker that's outside the airstrip facing south. Once inside, you also have a perfect view of the MEC base.
