So am I theonly one with guns that don't kill people?

I was hoping that once I advanced enough on the assult class I could get a gun that will actually kill someone. I am up to the AUG and in regular modes it still takes more than 5 hits to kill someone (not exagerating). Hardcore mode helps a bit but even then I still have to hit someone a large number of times before they die.

The other day I seriously hit a guy square in the head 3 times before he finally died, it registered each time.

Am I the only one with this problem? Also it sucks cause I am yet to find a server with a ping under 150.

bud, unless you are playing project reality, not many games fatally wounds with one shot or kills with two. that's been a given for... a while, esp. in battlefield titles.

at least i can't think of any titles that do off the top of my head, unless in some sort of hardcore/hard mode, but i may be wrong. anyway, no you aren't, but i don't know why you would expect differently. again, this is a battlefield title after all.

Spam very short bursts. Aim for the head, use the sights. Yes it's annoying when some sniper wastes you with a single pistol shot halfway across the map but just remember there are a LOT of cheats out there already. One of which lost his gold tags to me the other night when I popped up out of a bush as he ran past, mwuhahaha. mwuhah. Who's the daddy now, Kerber_CRO. Eh? eh? chamtard.

I stick to the M416 as an all rounder, great handling and full auto for true spray n pray goodness, and my ultra long range kills with the 40mm make people say satisfyingly bad things. The M16 with scope I sometimes use for mid to long range.

But come on, I used to love BF2. BF2 didn't take 8 shots to kill someone. This game sucks in that regard and makes it unplayable for me.

I use the AN94 with magnums and it works well. Effective and accurate.

i've not played battlefield 2 for a while, but from what i remember it took MORE than 8 shots to kill someone, if anything.

besides, it doesn't take more than 4 or 5 to drop someone in this. perhaps you just need to work on unlocking some better weapons/equipment or remember a few basics like to stop, crouch, short bursts, etc?

M16A2+magnum. Final assault unlock, rapetastic. Nerfed it pretty hard recently but only in acc. I too found the guns to be extremely puny in general at first but you just have to develop the skillset for the game (movement + how to use the guns, short bursts etc) and now I waste mother****ers all day long in BC2.
