This is quite a large community compared to places I usually hang around.

Because I have never posted that on these forums. Your "welcome message" is spammed 100 times a day.

He was exaggerating firstly, and on top of that he didn't mean hello and welcome several times in one post, its always every single one in this forum. Its nice to say hello occassionally but you over do it, especially with that pre-set message. And for many users, including myself...when i see one of your posts i tend to skip over it being able to predict what your going to say. Oh well you'll probably carry on but your image has been muddied. Indeed teh spam cometh.

Oh and sorry to thread starter please don't be put off by this thread, just go hang in general HL2 or General Games, nice around there. (and see 1st page for my welcome!)

Makes you look silly when you start comparing it to someone just saying 'hello' on a forum. You'll grow out it. But i agree man, i'm all up for originality and all that, but how about something from the heart, which welcomes with some warmth and actual feeling rather than something you may be copy and pasting everytime? I mean it was original 6 months ago...now i tell you its not. Its like a customiser getting an email or letter back from a company, a personal one always warms you much more than an automated message everyone gets. Makes you feel welcome, wanted and warm inside. May sound soft to you, but thats the way humans are. Lardyyyy dahhhh!
