I totally forgot this was coming out. I've heard There Is A Light from some live recordings and liked that one a lot. Also heard Metal Birds, but didn't care for that one quite as much. I also remember listening to Bury 3 Dynamos on their website but couldn't remember how it went. Listening to it again now. Sounds like Efrim is singing differently than he used to...
it's a bit strange really, it's obviously very good but it's kinda flown past me this last hour. i'm just on the last track now which is a change from the previous four which three have one 6 minutes long, the other 1 minute. the last is 14 and very much the finale i was expecting and everything more.
i'll go against my word of it being ''obviously'' wonderful as it's a silver mt. zion release by saying i didn't care much for 13 blues..., so i'm going into this with the mindset of ''horses in the sky or bust'', but i'm enjoying it all the same. i think it's deffo a repeat listen, but what mt. zion record isn't, ay?
I know they've lost a couple of members (the cellist and a guitarist), so that may be why. Now it has trumpets, which I usually like... here it is mostly good. The quiet part around 9:40 is really slowed/drawn out now, which is weird since I'm not used to it being like that. And later it sounds like they're using piano (this is especially noticeable at 12:27 and onward), which I don't like. Just seems a little out of place and distracting to me.
Haven't listened to anything else enough to comment on the rest.
