So...how od I get Systemshock working with XP?

Well I've installed it, I put 256 colors on, 640x640 and disabled visual themes...
I get too the main menu, and it plays the movies, but after that, it crashes. any ideas? What should I do? I've updated it too its latest version, but it still won't work.

Any help appreciated.

You need to:

Install game

Put in XP patch (after updating to newest version)

Then when you run game and get into main menu, you CTRL+ALT+DELETE, go to your 'Processes' tab, right click 'SHOCK2.exe', go to set affinity, and there should be CPU 0 and CPU 1 checked, uncheck CPU 1, it'll run like a dream.

Try www.strangebedfellows.de , it's the best resource for System Shock help and mods. Helped me get it working, even on Vista.
