was the hottest day so far this summer in bath, put a white shirt on and started to walk the 1 and a half miles to my school

i then phned my mate to see if he wanted to walk too, he said he was already there and the exam had started early so then i was basically made to ****ing run, got to school and he had been lying what a foking arsehole, so i punched him in the stomach a few times and went somewhere to dry out :P ;(

Official exams would never start early, and I'm not quite sure why you believed your friend when he said that.

Yep, funny story, but exams arent legally allowed to start early unless EVERYONE is there and accounted for, then it can. But if theres just 1 person missing they have to hold up the exam for everyone. You silly goose.

It's possible if there is a mistake (that's my old school, but I wasn't doing my GCSEs then)
Yeah, that's an irregular occurence where an official phones up to inform the students. He called up his friend, who said it had started (Not ignoring the fact that if it had started, he wouldn't be allowed to use a phone or communication device of any sort). If my friend told me something like that, I'd tell them to sod off right away.

Most obvious part.
"Hey I'm in the exam, its started early."
"How are you on your phone then?"
:P

Yeah if the time on the exam hasn't been passed yet. For myself most exams tell me to be there 15 minutes early. And they'd start 10 minutes or 5 minutes prior to the time on the time table. But yesterday in my A level Chemistry exam, some guy wasn't there, so we couldnt start 10 minutes early and get out earlier :hmph:

So we started on time and he turned up half way through the exam lol! Apparantly his timetable said the exam was in the afternoon...

I used to walk 2 miles to my school. I was right on the fringes of the catchment area. Pretty annoying during hot days since you end up sweating like hell...

ehhhh i know this is off topic axyon, but what exactly does sod off mean? i am american mind u
It's basically a cleaner version of 'f- off'.

Don't mention origami or MarcoPollo posts horrible links :x

I sorta have the same problem. In the winter time, when I have an exam (especially in the morning) going from freezing cold outside, to a warm school inside causes your nose to run... a lot. It makes it very hard to concentrate, and I bet you don't want to know what was dripping on my paper. :E

Well, in one of my exams - some stupid muppet was on his phone about an hour into the exam. He was sitting about three desks away, his head in his in arms, talking on the phone. Needless to say, he got caught and chucked out. I saw him later and it was only his mate ringing him, it wasn't even an important call. :|

Damn, that's pretty stupid. Was he disqualified from all of his exams?

Not sure yet, definitely all the English exams. My school's way too leniant with things like this.

The school is given a minimum and a maximum time to start so they can't start until around quarter to 9 in the morning but they have to start at 9 the very latest :P so it's very possible to miss an exam.
