:p

Higher than 9800XT, almost the same of my overclocked 9800XT :) GJ

Thanks guys... and please note that I'm not doing this to gloat... I'm just making sure that I'm not doing anything stupid here.

I voted slow down tiger, just to call you tiger hehe

Hmm, looks like I've got a problem here... when I went to go play CS:S with my OC settings on, I had this horrible lag between my mouse and keyboard and what was happening on the screen. The keys would stick, I would move my mouse and the aim wouldn't change, etc... I verify that it wasn't just CS:S I tried BF1942 as well, which gave me the same problems. Setting my clock speeds back to normal fixed it.

Is there anything other than not overclocking that will help this?

well, the only other thing you could try is either lowering your clocks a bit till you find a sweet spot, or get some extra cooling on the card, i get better overclocks by simply taking the side off my case and pointing a walmart bought room fan at it

My A9800Xt is running with these :
Engine : 411mhz
Memory : 730 mhz
Temperature : 49-55°C
not overclocked, dont you get gfx problems overlcoking tha tmuc?
oldfaq

the graphics look fine, its just the inputs that are getting all screwy!

becuase whenever I overclock my A9800XT is seems to jump in games a bit, not too bad but looks better, just kinda a wierd effect.. .hard to explain, nice GFX card, is taht the ASUS brand?

Get a cheap cooler for it and some ram heatsinks...I can OC my radeon 9700 Pro pretty good with ram heatsinks/cheap watercooler

I have the thermaltake GIant III ... I have an odd feeling I might not have a installed it right though... I was a thermal grease virgin. it got all over my hands :(

Nice, how did you go about overclocking it?

(Yes, I'm a overcloker noob, sue me)

Wish I could hack my mx 420 ^_-

But ya, I'm thinking I'm gonna go with a 9800 pro and overclock it.

Hey, this was my first time actually overclocking anything.... but I used ATI tool... the numbers I posted aren't actually my final numbers as it turns out... as you read above, I'm having issues with my input devices when I over clock. A friend of mine told me that it was because I OCd the RAM too much and it was getting corrupted, so I might have to lay off the memory and just do the core... but I don't really feel like screwing around with it anymore right now.

If anyone has any more experience and/or insight on this, please speak up!
