...and I have given it a 95/100!

Everything seems well done. My only complaints:

Cannot "un-dual wield" your pistols, so once you pick up a second one you lose your iron sights, and since I'm playing without crosshairs (highest difficulty removes them), I'm stuck using the laser pointer sight for it.

Mounted MG's are oddly inaccurate and overheat really fast, even for machineguns.

Korean forces absorb quite a bit of firepower.

I seem to carry unlimited upgrades for the weapons. I can put a reflex sight on the shotgun, and both rifles I've found so far, without switching them out.

As for what I really liked:

Korean soldier AI is spiffy. They actually flanked me and stuff while I was in a superior firing position.

Shotgun can actually down people from range. While I haven't seen what it's spread is like yet, it gets guys from beyond point blank.

Iron sights!

Melee attacks with weapons!

Super strength = super high jump!

Actually holding stuff when you pick it up!

Human shields -- I can choke some Korean soldier and tote him with me, using him as a shield, though he oddly does not struggle much.

What I dislike:

No combat knife :( While I have my fists, every boyscout knows better than to leave home without a knife!

Shadows lag. I switch a weapon and my shadow is .5 seconds behind me, which is weird. It also has a generic "carry" image. Regardless of what you're holding, it seems as if he's carrying it on his shoulder, only nothing shows up there.

Chickens are fragile, and so are turtles. When I picked them up and tossed them, they both died :|

So all in all I think this is great. I just preordered my Collectors Edition tonight from New Egg. Also, in the gameplay demo they said that the turtle was some sort of "secret animal" you could mess with. I found it :D

Think you just press the drop key and you should switch back to a single pistol.

The first person weapon animations are different than the player model's animations, so they won't match up.

Yeah I noticed the dual weld thing, too.

Zoid is right - It looks that way, but it is indeed different than third person, but they did it brilliantly.

By the way, find a dingy, knock it to the shore, tip it over, jump in it and use hands + strength to commandeer it! It even starts facing in the direction you push it, so it doesn't just float! :D

@Zoid: I tried pushing drop but nothing happened. I'll take another look at it.

@Nem: You mean a wooden boat thing? Does it actually move or just drift?

I've been experimenting it alot

This game has pretty good AI, but it also gave me the dumbest AI moment I've ever seen.

1. A korean soldier sees me.

2. I go into cloak and hide behind a tree

3. he keeps running towards me

4. He runs into the tree and screams

5. He backs up, runs into the tree again and screams

6. He backs up, runs into the tree again and dies.

It was hilarious!

No.

Runs like ass on my X2 5600+, 2GB DRR2, 7800GT. Ass = 15 avg. on low.

I get 30 on low. Same for UT3 but on highest. Glad they're both demos.

did you try choking and throwing someone? pretty awesome.

but really, I think developers need to stop targeting the average computer eight years down the road.
I'm glad it's a game like Crysis and not...HL2 or UT3 that is pushing the system requirements so far. It's good to have a couple games that push the requirements so far. Otherwise it could become a 'chicken or the egg' dilemma with adoption and developing.

I get about 30 with everything on medium, except for Shader Detail on High, Shadows on Low, and Physics on High. AthlonX2 4600+, 2GB RAM, x1900XT.

It's actually a pretty decent game now that I went through the demo again, which is how I felt about Far Cry after playing the demo a second time as well.

I thought it was pretty lame. Even with super-knock-down-buildings-and-overturn-humvees strength, you hardy throw them at all. And the animation on it is pretty lame.

LMFAO! I wish i could see a video of that.

How do you get a FPS meter to show? I ran it on high without any issues.

And btw I do have some parts of my other PC up for sale if anyone's interested.
