So I saw Piebald last night, and it was cool.

I'm not expecting that many of you have heard of them, but Piebald is an indie-rock band that my wife and I are both into. We went to Dallas to see them (and the Weakerthans) as part of our 2nd anniversary yesterday. We got into Dallas early, and went to go find somewhere to eat in Deep Ellum (Dallas' art district) before the show. We walked by this crappy pizza restaurant, and saw Travis and Aaron (singer and bassist from Piebald) in ordering pizza, and we decided to stop in there. So we walk in, and they're still ordering, and my wife says something like "well if it isn't our favorite Boston boys!" (because they're from Boston), and they turn around, and we start talking. They get their food, and then they invite us to eat with them, which was really cool. They're really nice guys, easy to talk to, etc etc... So they finish up, and they head back to meet whoever else they're with, and we head back to the club eventually. So a few hours later they get on stage and start their set, and a couple songs in they say something to the effect of "We'd like to dedicate this song to Dan and Irina who are celebrating their 2nd anniversary... their REAL anniversary because they're actually married!".... which was really cool....

So yep, that's my Piebald story. We ate dinner with them, and they wished us a happy anniversary during their set. Sweet.

I've heard of them, but I don't know if I've heard their music or not.
