Well, I had the earphone jack problem that was really getting annoying. So I read on Wiki that you can stick a piece of folded paper underneath the jack, it'll fix it.

So I found a guide and disassembled the Micro just fine (not really hard, just annoying). I stick the paper in there and semi-assemble it back together. I pop in the battery and test it out and it works fine now! So I go to seal it up all the way and I realize I'm missing the little switch to turn it on and off. After 2 hours of searching, I cannot find it. So I'm screwed.

But this gives me a reason to buy a Creative Zen Vision:M now.

Meh.

You suck. I'm glad I don't have the headphone jack problem.

Are you sure the switch didn't just fall inside the case? If its a real switch it has to be still wired to the circuit board. If you take it back apart and make sure it is in the right place before closing it this time.

if its just a cosmetic piece that pertrudes (sticks out) so you can switch it, then I believe you.

You should never disasemble electronics over any type of floor. hardwood floors are impossible to find things as well as carpet, but carpet fibers can bridge positive and negative places on the circuit board and fry your shit. (happend to me)

Its good to do it inside a large cardboard box, so when things fall or springs shoot out, then stay in the box

Hmm, good news but I'm afraid to tell because of the "LOLNEWB" responses I'll get: it was under the keyboard. But I still plan on getting a Vision:M because it pwns.

Uhhh... so you searched for it AFTER you told a bunch of strangers that you'd lost it? Well, NEWB is about on the mark, but I don't think there's much to LOL about...

You're not a newb. You're just... different.

lol I hope mine never breaks like that. I was pissed after I got mine because I saw the Vision M and "oooh pretty colors". >:(

No. As I said, I searched for about 2 hours before I posted. I JUST found it now.

I got the 30gb one for $380-something... which may sound a bit expensive, but the 30gb iPod + FM Radio + AC charger costs that much... and it does so much more.
