Well, I remember bringing up 'Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri' before, it's a goo game ^^. But I was curious as to whether or not anyone has not only played it, but has ever attempted to actually mod it =/. I found out you an just open the template files in Photoshop and you can mess around with the notepad, but has anyone (here) ever managed to successfully create a whole template for a faction? and if so, can I get some pointers =S?

Do you have its expansion, Alien Crossfire? It comes with a faction creator which allows the adding of custom factions to the game.

No, I don't, I only got the original. . . I love that game ^^.

Just how open ended it is.
But some how like, it runs on what notepads and that say, so you can like modit. For example, the University gets --Probe and ++ research, but you can mod that to like, +++Research and -Probe =/.
It just tends to screw up XP.

Its not uncommon for me to make small changes to a game that comes with a good editor. The only changes I ever did to SMAX was to extend the game and slow research.
