Damn, man. There I was looking at another boring sniper/soldier deathcam when I just spazzed out and click the button. Ding! I'm spectating!

How about that? Probably a remnant from the Half-life games where when you die you click to restart at your last save, had no idea it's still in TF2.

1st person to mention it, at least. Plus there's no documentation for TF2 so many things just don't get know until you're told, like right-clicking to rotate buildings, that's not in the manual.

Oh I knew about rotating buildings a while, just no deathcam skipping, there should be a real manual for TF2, that joke one is funny but quite useless.
Is it written anywhere that deathcam is skippable? Not on the Wiki, not on the Steam forums, not in the Prima guide, not HL2.net, nowhere.

That was the first thing I noticed when I died...I clicked out of habit of "skipping" and it worked. Hurray!

It seemed forced to me, and I did a search once to see if it could be removed somehow, but I couldn't find any mention of that, so I must've assumed there's nothing to be done about it, yet instant-respawn servers manage to skip it automatically.

I've been looking for a way to skip it automatically, but the console command apparently requires cheats to be enabled on the server. Ah well.

I didn't know how to do that because I <3 me some deathcam. I tend to leave servers that don't have it.

I didn't know this, actually. But I always look at the deathcam, because sometimes it will be something interesting.

How can you hate deathcams? It's usually more entertaining than spectating on the game.

I only really find them funny when there's a friendly spy on the background, or maybe there's a funny pose or something, and don't get me started on sentry deathcams.:hmph:
