So it's 28 degrees F and it's raining...

Friday morning was really warm at 50F. Saturday was 40F. Last night it snowed and freezing rained (?) with the temperature around 28F now. What the hell. Makes no sense for northern Michigan.
 
We usually have a couple feet of snow here, and it usually snows constantly through the winter.

We've had less than a week of actual snow. There is no snow on the ground.

What the hell, guys.
 
I just hope that tomorrow it's below 0 Celcius so classes are cancelled.

For the first time ever in my life, there was no snow on the ground at Christmas. It wasn't right.
 
it started snowing here...now it's like -2C.

basically i don't think the temp will drop below -10C this winter, which for me is a good thing because winter pisses me off. :D
 
I've just been through a swamp and had to walk home soaking with freezing winds blowing off the beach.

If you're wondering what i was doing, i was trying to find some pheasants nests that are protected by the swamp.
 
It's warm here, well not warm ... it's a lot warmer than it should be. I don't think the temperature has even dropped below freezing yet this year. It's knocking around 4'c to 10'c. People are saying the weather has gone crazy.

Yeah, right now it's 40 degrees in beautiful, sunny Southern California. It's expected to get as low as 35 degrees fahreinheit. Wierd. No rain, though. It's totally clear blue sky, but super cold.
 
You lucky bastards, -14 F here with -40 windchill.

I say bring on the global warming ;)
 
It's way more like early autumn here than winter. It was pretty cold just before xmas, but after that it's warmed up. We dont usually get snow until almost March though.

I want snow. D:

You know its bad when the heartland gets more snow than the Northeast... we have not had any accumulation, well maybe 1/4" but thats it... its pathetic! I feel for you guys!
 
Well, I'm at work now, and 1/2 of the city is powerless...Sleeping in 50 degrees wasn't that exciting. But currently, there is only 3 people here at work out of the 20ish? so yeah....I knew I shoulda stayed home. :p
 
No joke, I figured the roads wouldn't have been that bad, but 90% of the way here, I hit some horrid stuff..I thought I was a goner. D: I figured, "I'm not turning around and going BACK through this crap."
 
Heh, well its about 2 degrees here in Cheltenham (well it feels like that, maybe its just me), and we never get any snow anymore in the UK in general. So consider yourself lucky? Mhah
 
Eh, It's starting to snow lightly around here now...we are catching the side of it now. Ugh!
 
Finally, electricity! Well, it was fun sleeping in ~50 degree weather indoors...but all is better. I CAN FKN SHOWER! :D
 
Here in western Montana we've been having some frigid -10F weather for the last several days. Finally today it warmed up to a spritely +8F! It's alomost shorts and T-shirt weather, WOOT!
 
First day of school just got cancelled for us just because it's a little bit rainy and icy.... I'm in Texas and apparently no one here knows how to drive on icy roads. Same thing happened last year, and my professor cancelled one of our quizzes because someone in class complained that it was too cold to study properly.

how the hell can you stand sub freezing temperatures. I'm freezing in 40 degrees F since i too live in sunny california and anything below 70 and im freezing, I dont even have a damned jacket.
 
I come from Nebraska....so cold is my thing...I love it to death, except when it freezes my pipes and car!

We finally had some snow fall. It's accumulated to about six or seven inches. Too bad it's blistering cold with a toasty 10F.

I don't even think we got .5 inches of snow....it was all ice here.
 
Is it possible that someday school/work will be cancelled not from the cold but from extremely high temperatures?

Well, considering a heat advisory like that is in effect at 105+ tempuratures around here, I'm sure if it hit around 120 degrees, they would probably cancel school...that would be very dangerous to walk outside..anything higher is risking your health.
