yeah, i'll admit i'm excited and everything about this "August" release date, lets admit it, this is could well be the second best game ever (after half-life 1, f00)

But are you really all as excited as you were back in September? thats nearly a year ago. Dont get your hopes up, valve could blow it... again.... leys hope not huh?

I havn't posted in these forums for ages, and you know why? becuase i got tired and bored of half life 2, all the flase expectation and averything, but do not despair fanboys of the HL generation for recent events and dates have rekindled by spirit for the game and maybe, juts maybe... we will be graced with the game sometime in a month.

Who still posts here regulary that did a year ago huh? I'm not trieing to put down valve, becuase frankly as long as the game is good i do not give a shit, but for some reason i am finding it hard to be interested in all this, i can get excited about resident evil four, and the new zelda (all hail resi 4) but not this, not yet. Anyways, we see how i geos and maybe once i complete the game i'll come back once again.

Me too. For one thing, valve actually said they're feature complete, and the other is that they are going to take care of more security - so less chance of blowing it up.

I'm still excited and I joined these forums a while before you. I believe that Valve will release this summer, I really can't see them lying or estimating incorrectly again. Maybe we'll see the game earlier than they think. Even if we do not, it's more fun to think optimistically than pessimistically.

IMO It's kinda pointless to say that one got bored of HL2. I mean, there's always a period when you lose interest. Just like when I was excited about Doom 3 when it was announced, but just sorta forgot about it eventually because I knew it wasn't coming out any time soon.

I do, however, know what you're talking about. But my anticipation for the game is, after a brief lull, equalling that of when it first showed itself.

Well, i think I really got tired of HL 2 for good! ;(
I was sure that i will be able to play it in July during school summer!I was really excited but from when i got the news that it will be released somewhere on beggining of new school year i just had enough of this all.Especially because i played the leaked version.When i got it i just said myself that i will play for a few secs and then just wait for the July release in a month!But now I keep playing it and i actually got bored of the HL2 itself!
Anyway i am going to excite myself with Doom 3 for now and hoope that they WILL release at least Doom 3 during summer! :smoking:

i am just a tad under the bar of excitment that i had during September 2003.. but its getting there with tidbits of info being released every other day or so

take for instance the Collectors Edition thread.. Greg Coomer referring to it got me all excited there :thumbs:
