I'd like to know when they're gonna fix the crashing, the lock-ups, the video errors, and all the b.s. :|

i never had any real problem with halflife 2. Are these problems happening on your computer?

Every HL2 update fixes stuff... I haven't had one problem with HL2. For those with problems just wait until Valve release more updates.

Every game has those sorts of problems for different people.

It's not always the games fault. It's not as though the developers can foresee the exact range of systems people are going to use, nor can they test every possible software and hardware combination out there.

to fix the problems open your case an put a big ass fan beside it...

My thruppence - I have never had a problem with HL2.
Besides half the problems seem to occur with people running the game on rubbish spec PCs. :)

That is NOT rubbish. It cost me alot of good hard earned money. So please troll elsewhere. You're lucky I dont call you a bad name.

You already have called someone a bad name and it won't be tolerated.

As for your reported post, I only see you flaming. Kirkburn's comment was a valid statement and nowhere did I see him say YOU have a rubbish PC. He said that "half of the problems seem to occur..." and he did not specify that you were part of that "half".

P4 3.2C GHz (800mhz fsb)
Intel 865PERL mobo
1GB PC3200 Crucial RAM in dual channel configuration
BFG GeForce 6800GT 256mb
Seagate 7200.7 160GB SATA hard drive 7200RPM/8mb cache
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz soundcard

And I get *lots* of stutter.

blah blah blah shut up

Blimey ... yeah, sorry for any offence, but it wasn't aimed at you. (Also, how was I supposed to know your PC specs anyway??)

Seriously tho, to anyone reading this thread with under 512 RAM, get more!

The problem with pcs is it could be a million and one things causing the problems. How do you expect valve to solve that? It's impossible.

Every other major game dev in the world manages to solve it, usually before release, so I expect Valve can too.

Usually before release? I think not. Every game developer releases several patches post-release. It's inevitable.

I think you missed my point.

What I'm saying is valve, nor any other developer, cannot possibly create something that works with every possible combination of available components as it could be anything causing the conflicts.
