I think that many stores, such as Best Buy, have already received the games. Even if they have them in storage, though, they're not supposed to release them until the 16th. And, even if a copy does get leaked out, i don't think there could be a "legal" way to unlock it until the 16th.

At my local GameStop, The doors were open today at 12:00 am for Halo 2. Do you they will do the same for HL2? Idk my guess no is because all the loser Halo 2 fanboys around my school and crap and HL2 just won't get enough hype but I'm 20 times more hyped for HL2 than H2.

I've heard that a norwegian shop have already got their share of copys, and that Valve/Vivendi had hired a security agency to make sure that the game won't end up in illegal hands :E
I guess this goes for the rest of the world too...(?)
