In Episode 2, we found out Eli knows of the Gman's existence and even knows how to defeat him. So who else besides Breen, Eli, Odessa and the Vortigaunts know about the Gman

Breen did before he died. Any scientist you see him talking to in HL1. Probaby Dr Kleiner.

The rebels do, no? There's that one stop along Route Kanal where the Vortigaunt and the rebel are watching the Gman channel.

Which would mean who doesn't know about the Gman. The Combine?

Also Shephard and some military and security officers.

Quite a few have probably heard of this suited man, and I bet word gets around quick. They don't actually know who he is or what he's capable of, probably just assuming he's in some underground gang and wants to look fancy or something. The Odessa meeting probably alerted a few outposts of his appearance.

I presume the story of him spreads with some creepy vagueness to it.

I'm pretty sure that you, Breen, and Eli (before they died) are the only folks that know about him.
Alyx is influenced by him, but doesn't mention him, so she probably isn't aware of him; I doubt Judith knows about him, and I can't think of anyone else who would know about him.

Well, there is that G-Man graffiti, so there's some mystery artist who must have seen him. Unless G-man is a good graffiti artist, which would be awesome...

Oh, off topic, but I've been wondering since I first "killed" Breen... Are we sure he's really dead? I mean, unless Valve themselves actually said he is, I have a lot of doubt, going by the conversation he had with the advisor just before.

A whole lot of people used to know about the G-man. They worked at Black Mesa. Many members of the science team, the guards, and even that one dude who ran the Tesla Taco stand knew of the G-man.

They're all dead now.

Until Half-Life 3, when you find out that the remaining people from Black Mesa survived and developed a subterranean society deep beneath the caved-in ruins of the science facility, having evolved into a mutated species as a result of nuclear radiation and Xenian bacteria still seeping in from portals.

huh?

That's something I haven't been 100% sure of either - I'm pretty sure he's dead, but I have a feeling that this may not be the case.

Alot of people have SEEN and interacted with the gman, but I don't think anyone except Freeman so far knows that he is more than what he appears to be.

Whether or not more people know about him, admitting that one does seems to result in a quick death. Eli and Breen died within the hour and god knows how many times Gordon has died.

Read the first few posts btw.

Gman talked to some rebels, and gave them a rocket launcher, somewhere in hl2.

cbf giving details.

Yeah, he did. So what if they can see him. I'd take a rocket launcher from just about anyone. The point is that many people have seen him, but only the mute Gordon has further knowledge of what he actually is.

A CP would have to be severely retarded to give Gordon Freeman an RPG.

Haha, yes.

I think "Friday" is my favorite: "I am a ninja!"

Same here. I love the ending to Oil's Well, though. :B Just comes out of nowhere with the Combine stuff, you kinda forget it's two CP's talking.

But, to get back on topic...

Crap, I have nothing to add..

Um, we know for sure Gordon knows about the G-man, right? :y
