So who hates 4 character minimum search limits on forums?

I just wanted to know what people thought.

I can't ****ing stand them, especially since I often encounter situations that I can't find what I need because it won't let me search with less than four characters. Oftentimes I need to be able to use three.

I don't think it exists on these forums, but for many it does.

4 letters are usually the minimum. So you would be able to search for those on most forums.

Somebody find the Sad Thread for me! Trying to find a youtube video of a song in there by an Asian dude playing piano.

I cant think of anything thats only three letters that I would ever search for. Although I remember a couple forums I was trying to search for something and it required every word in the search to be four or more letters long, which totally screwed up my search.

Used the search keyword 'depressing'.

Most of the time when I need to be able to search for 3 letters though, no longer words will help me.

You can specify a site to search using Google, so you don't have to use the inherently shitty forum search functions.

You can't do things like view by posts and such with Google, though. There are some nice features like "filter by post count" which are handy.
