This game looks really awesome. IGN reviewed it already and gave it a 9.0. I think it deserved a little better because of the reviewer's reasoning. He knocked down lasting appeal because he screwed up in the beginning, and had to start over. So the guy claims that everyone will mess up and have to start over, thus making the game repetitive. I don't like that.

Graphics score should probably be higher too because it's such a huge freakin' game that it should be taken into account. C'mon.. at full speed in the fastest car, crossing the city takes 20 minutes. That's huge.

Ah well...it's just a review. I plan to buy it no matter what score it has. Any game where you can be Snoop Dogg has to be cool...

The 4th is just a day away :)

I don't think i've ever even heard of this...

Some linkys for everyone?

Here is a link for the IGN info that they have collected.

It's coming out for xbox, ps2, and gc.

Here is the link for the gamespot info stuff.

It basically supposed to be a GTA-style game from a cop perspective. With a fighting and shooting game worked in as well. It also has a branching storyline. From the sounds of things the plot can change in many different ways. From the review, it all sounds pretty cool. The fighting system is quoted to have Matrix style fights. There's bullet time sorta for when you have gunfights. You can improve your character with badge points and stuff. You'll have to check out the info. They explain stuff better than I can. It looks really fun. It's set in LA, and they have what's supposed to be just about all of LA mapped street for street. People who live in LA say they can find all sorts of places that they visit in real life.

It comes out Nov. 4th, but some pre-orders come in the 3rd.

Hmmmm, actally looks quite good...

Don't know whther to buy this or COD duty now :-(

Yeah, I had my doubts about the fighting system and how in-depth it'd actually be, but from the sounds of things, they did a good job with the game.

I'd probably be deciding between COD and True Crime right now...but the fact that my campus internet is barely faster than 56k...makes me go with True Crime. I can't play any online games anymore...most of the games I own for computer are now lame singleplayer games. That's why I'm looking forward to some console games a lot more. Like True Crime, and Fable, and Halo 2.

This game will be up there with GTA, or it could just fail miserably.

I'll definitely keep an eye for this one :)

Honestly, I'm not pumped up about it at all. Seems like there's been hardly any hype for it. Some... but not as much as you guys make it sound like it should be getting.

Maybe i'll wait until a few more reviews come out :-)

The fighting system looks kick ass though.

Yeah, the one thing that I've seen that I actually am looking forward to is the combat system 'n shit. It looks pretty pro... reminescent of the Tekken days, hehe.

True Crime will rock, I'll definatly be picking it up for xbox. It's a tough call between GTA pack of TC.. Which to choose!

Buy an Xbox. I was an console basher untill a few weeks ago when I got mine. They're so much fun, and hassle free!

I shall fight thy power of the xbox with you my brother.

I do have an xbox, and a ps2. I only have the xbox because I won it. I'm really glad i have it though. There's some tight games on the horizon. Fable, and Halo 2 just to name a few.

From what I've heard, it's an awesome game. A bunch of people on the IGN boards are all pissed about the 9.0 it got because they feel it deserved better..but ah well...just a rating. I

t just seems like it'll be a breath of fresh air from GTA:VC. I played that too much recently. I got 100% completion.. which if anyone claims to have done without the help of a guide...they're lying..or they'd have to show me their played time stat of over 1000 hours. Seriously...the random missions where you hop in cars, or the 30-some unique jumps you have to hit just right for it to register...there's just too many specifics to do by yourself.

I'm not a big fan of the GTA series or its derivatives. But the reviews I've read say that the martial arts aspect is really deep and really fun.

And since the fighting is what piques my interest I'm going to check this game out.

Yup just saw a commercial snoop is playable in it! Yippy! I might check this out.

looks to be an awsome game

gonna buy it when i get some extra cash

Kinda a small pic, but he's pointing with his left, and his right is just on the ground in front of his left leg. I suppose you haven't seen the evil monkey in Family Guy. It's my favorite show of all time :) Too bad it was cancelled :(

COD duty...Something to do with fishing?

Seriously though, i could get COD, i mean, this true crime looks great but COD seems differerent to other games of that type where as this seems like a realistic GTA basically.

Anyway, its your choice, i really just made this post to make fun of the COD duty thing.
