Anantech's Socket 939 board round-up.

For some reason they left out the Asus board. Read the comments for more on that.

While my board isn't Socket 939 it is the same chipset and manufacture. I love my MSI K8N Neo board.

ya i read that interesting. I liked the MSI board with the nforce three. Gigabyte also had a nice board. I was going to post a topic as I found in strange that the board had better performance with 2-2-2-10 timings. I dont know why that is.

Meh.

Still waiting for ASUS to release an nForce4 mobo ... liek hury it up doodz i need teh speed

Hope they (nvidia / asus) don't ditch AGP completely though.

Yeah, there has been several references to A64 systems performing better with the last memory timing around 8 or 10.

But why is that. You would think it would be the exact opposite. I will have to wait and see when I get one to try that out. Im not complaining though. If it means my memory wont be stressed as much so thats always a good thing.

well, some nforce2 systems perform better around 10 as well... an example is my Abit NF7.

Hey Asus i'm thinking of getting either the MSI K8T Neo-FIS2R or the board you have.

I was leaning towards the K8T800 chipset, are the nforce3 ones better?

If you have the option, I would really consider the nForce3 250 boards over the VIA.
IMO the VIA boards are better for performance than the nForce3 150 boards.

Thats why I love asus!!!Mr.Hardware man... :D By golly you should have a mod postion on the Hardware forum!!!
