SOE layoffs

Haha, I think I recognise that picture. It looks like the same one someone posted when Sigil (the guys who "developed" Vanguard) were dissolved into SOE and were basically just called out to the parking lot and told to pack their shit. Vanguard is now run by like 1, maybe 2 guys at SOE... yeah.

Oh well, I guess running MMOs into the ground isn't as hard as they make it seem. :3

It's a shame that happened to Vanguard. Rough launch yeah, but it had so much damn potential.

It's a still from Arrested Development, where the head of the family business gets all the employees to load their equipment onto a truck, telling them that they are getting new and better equipment, then fires all of them instead.

Yep, imagine how many opiates McQuaid could buy if it was successful lol.

Oh.

Well in that case I guess I did recognise it, just not from what I thought. :p

I am not sure why everyone makes such a big deal about layoffs these days. I mean, unless you have a really small team or an ill-funded company, these really won't affect anything. 4% of it's workforce won't really be noticed. I was laid off last year with 30 other people from my previous company, but then we were a company of only 140 people total, so that's over 20% of the workforce which DID affect things greatly. Anyway, I am sure these guys will be able to find another gig after working at SOE.
