Soft modding

Is there any 9800SE or 9800 that will soft mod to a 9800 pro? I'm probably going to buy a 9800 pro, but if I can get the same performance from soft modding..i'd like to do that. I'm getting a little tired of my 9600 pro's lack of performance, though it has been a solid card for the past year

Well, the one card thats guarenteed to softmod is no longer available :/

You still might be able to hunt down a Hercules card, i doubt they're out of circulation yet.

I believe the real stipulation to do that softmod is that the memory has to be 256 bit (not the 128 on some cards). In that case, those cards are available at NewEgg.
