Could I download SoftImage on my computer? I have Windows home edition and it says on GameSpot that you need Windows Pro. Would its still work? If I installed it would it make my system unstable?

It shouldn't harm it atall just installing XSI|EXP

Nope, no harm at all. I got XSI|EXP installed on one of my Win XP Home and XSI|EXP for Half Life 2 on the other.

No problems at all.
