Its that time of year again, when its time to build a newer compilation of Windows XP sp2 reformating CD.
If you have a secound, can you check over the programs I list and tell me which one you think is better, or if I dont list a program, why it would be good to get the one you are thinking of.
Anti-Virus= Nod 32... Low foot print and supposeable the best.
Firewall= I currently use Sygate pro.
Option= I keep hearing about OUTPOST and that its so much better than sygate. Sygate hasent had a update since 2003. Can anyone give me some info on firewalls as to which would be best?
Info= I like to disable the windows firewall as, I dont like it. With sygate, I can block programs as they try to access the net and it has done (as far as I can tell) a good job.
Cd Software= Alcohol 120%.... Is there anything better? I havent seen anything that comes near to the quality of it.
Dvd (all)= Tmpge, dvd shrink, dvd decrypter. What other Dvd type tools should I look into?
Defrag= Perfect Disk 7 is what I use, I heard it was better than disk keeper 9.
Reg Cleaner= Registery Mechanic. Other good ones?
Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. If you know of any software that you use that you think is cool "or know that im useing some inferior software" please let me know.
Also if anyone could direct me to a site "or a post" to information on tweaking the crap out of windows xp I could really use it. I use NLITE to build my xp reformat cd's and its the only program that does what it does, atleast to my knolage.
