alright, well everytime i start up a program like windows media player, quicktime, etc my computer slows down to a crawl and then when i am able to shut them down it returns to normal. i know its not a virus because i ran three different spyware scanners and norton in safe mode, and i doubt it would get through that. my brother seems to think it might be a codec problem but im not really sure how to fix it.
