Soloed!

Hey guys! This morning at 8:00am (0800) I soloed at Newport News/Williamsburg Int'l airport (KPHF) in a Cessna 172 (N737GR). (on runway 7, if you cared )

I'm so happy! Just wanted to let ya'll know

lol, I couldn't trap a sidewinder to a 172... but another group that is based that PHF plays aggressor for the US navy... they have 4 Kifirs (Israeli Mirage clones), a Saab Viggen, and about 6 Lears with hardpoints under thier wings... probably throw a Sidewinder under there.

I know someone who's been learning and almost has his license, just needs to do a medical and one more exam. He really enjoys it, and there's alot of money to be made, but he is now tens of thousands of dollars in debt >_<

When I saw the subject/poster I thought it was gonna be about how you pulled off a mad solo at a live gig or something, but then I realised it was Sidewinder and not Starmonkey

1) No didn't do any barrel rolls... besides being outside of the performance envelope, the 172 has gravity fed fuel tanks... upside down=no fuel to engine
2)He doesn't have his medical yet?! Ask him about that, because your medical is the same as your Student Liscense.... I'll photograph mine when i have a chance, but when you get for medical (if it's a 3rd class) it's valid as a student liscene for 2 years, and it's a valid medical for 3....
