some cs:s commands?

hey someone told me if i type these commands in ill get alot better fps.

ati_subdiv 0
ati_npatch 0

But i must have develeport 1 enabled which i have but when i type those commands in console it says unkown command is that because i dont have ati drivers i have omega drivers?

r_shadows 0 - Disable shadows
r_newflashlight 0 - Disable bumpmapped flashlight
mat_bumpmap 0 - Disable bumpmapping

bumpmap off gives me the glossy hands...fx5200 on dx8

Yay! someone has my card! Yea the same thing happens to me, but I've gotten so used to it now that I'd rather have t-1000 hands than low fps... I'm sure valve will find some way to fix the problem though... hopefully.
