I just recently got fast internet, and have been downloading alot of shit, including some indie games. But I know there are alot of these kind of games that I missed, and I want to know which ones I should DL?

I mean games that are like Facade. I can't think of any other of those types of games (not the type of the actual game, but where like only a few people work on it, big file size, lots of content and free type of game).

I remember this one there was a thread on it, I can't remember it, I just know it was a 'scary' game, and someone was complaining about not knowing how to use dynamite in it.. It was like a first person 'escape the room' kind of game, where a monster was chasing you and everything.. It was called Penumbra or something like that..

Anyways, any good games like this to dl?

EDIT: I'm downloading some game called Gunz - apperently you fight online with other people.. It's only 200MB. Games like this.

Missing
Fedora Spade

Missing is ****ing scary as hell point-n-click mystery horror
Fedora Spade is a really fun and slightly humorous detective type game.

Love the 2d art.

You mean like "pro" type games? Not just 1 bloke in his bedroom?

That Gunz game is an MMO isn't it? There are literally 50+ of those type of games for free and they're mostly Korean. They're usually free because you have to pay for new weapons/clothing etc. That's the substitute for the monthly fee.

There's one. They're all usually pretty shit and soulless, although some have decent 3D graphics.

Try here too - http://www.aeriagames.com/games. They have a cool driving one called Project Torque that's nicely made and free.

I also remember a great game being posted here a while ago. It was a hand drawn adventure game, where you wake up on a space station, in a coffin and have to find out what happened, you are a chick btw.

I don't think you have to pay in the Gunz game, I thin you lvl up and get money for kills and stuff (I didn't play it that long), but it's actually pretty cool game.. Takes WAY too long to set up though.. Not worth the download, but it's not super shitty or anything.

Also - no, not necessarily 'pro' games, but just games where people spent alot of time on them, they are very well done, good graphics, good sounds, good gameplay (not repetitive).

Can you really call Mount & Blade indie now that they have a publishing contract with one of Swedens largest game publishing(and developing) houses, Paradox Entertainment?

Ahah! The White Chamber. Really good production values.

IT'S OVER NINE THOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What? Nine thousand? That can't be right.

...oh man, couldn't resist. Damn you memes! DAMN YOU TO HELLLLLLL!

An indie game is a game made by an independent group of developers, free from any form of financial funding/back-up aside from their own pockets, i.e. it's a game developed without financing from publishers etc.

Exactly, most of the time that makes it better, as the devs aren't worried about sponsors and shit, they are making it because they like making games, not to make money (well not the main reason, like EA is in it purely for the money).

Whatever happened to that Fez game? Looked like a better version of Super Paper Mario.
