Some help needed (hope I'm in right category)

Just bought a new computer. But do not have a clue how to remove the clicking sound when I click on something like 'my computer' or the 'Back' button on my webpage etc etc. It's just a normal clicking sound played when I mouse click a button like the ones I gave examples of. It interferes with my music etc :bonce:

hope someone can help me, knowing me theres some really simple solution.

P.S. it is a sound from my audio not from my mouse...just to clear that up
