some mp3 rant about hl2 delay

When I was listening to it, I though of something really witty to respond, but i have seemed to forgoten it, ah well.
 
Actually I got REALLY pissed off at this. So I wrote an e-mail. It's not great because it's 6am.

"You must be getting pretty desperate. I mean it's one thing to write an editorial about your opinions of a delay, but when you release an MP3 basically mocking anyone who disagrees with you by protraying them as idiots with stupid voices [as well as filling their argument with hyperbole], that really takes the biscuit.

It's very unprofessional. Isn't it enough that you have alienated most of the Half-Life Community with your arrogant assumptions about a delay? Now you have to call them all idiots? Do you really think this the best way to run a site, especially one as large as Planet Half-Life?

You've already said a number of times that you are going to be less of an ass about your adamant opinion that Half-Life 2 has been delayed. I've yet to see this change.

Please, change your attitude."

EDIT: And if anyone thinks this is funny, you have the sense of humour of a toilet brush.

It's funny. Funny like a desparate guy going far too deep into denile. Far far too deep...

Too much variation between his words and actions.

First he wrote an editorial saying how he didnt want to have his opinions come off strong to the community. Then he does this. Now I've learned to just ignore him.

I'd say "oh well" and not be hugely bothered.

I'm not angry because he's saying the game is delayed. I'm angry because his arguments are so stupid and he's acting like a prat towards the Half-Life Community. Something someone in his position should not do.

He probably gets over 50 e-mails a day saying "FUX YOU ASS FACE IT IS COMING OUT RIGHT!!!!"

He's gotta vent it somehow, and this somehow is funny.
 
For god's sake, the forum was full of people insulting him, his dog and his mother two days ago. Now, he's done something to really really annoy me and everyone is defending him.

Can you remember that he's not just some guy on a website. He's the site director of Planet Half-Life. He shouldn't release this stupid stuff, mocking people for disagreeing with him.
 
I don't care, Kevin is cool, I never said I hated him so I guess I'm allowed to defend.
 
Yeah. It would be different if he was just a forumer. But he's the friggen director of a Gamespy site. I'd think he'd have a little more thought in his actions. Besides sounding like a 24-year old college-drop out nerd.

(By the way, it sure wasnt funny for me. *shrugs* Ridicule is one of the lower forums of humor. Now sarcasm,now that's better!:p)

dont like it? Dont go to planethalflife.com, avoid everything that seems related to him or his site. If you dont, you have no right to bitch and moan, its not being forced on you.
 
Yeah. He did give his opinion at first, which I had no problem with. It was his opinion afterall. It was just that when he folded under the pressure(which is something a head director should learn to control,since they are the ones getting the hate mail) and started acting like a jackass.
 
Well, here's how I see it. Fragmaster has his own opinion, he thinks it's going to be delayed. We here, at these forum boards, think otherwise - September 30th IS the release date. I admit, the song that he had written might have been on the...odd side. But starting a thread just to bash the guy is totally ridiculous. If he want's to preach to the world about a delay, let him. Just ignore him. He will have a rude awakening come Sept. 30th.
 
Obviously we have different views as to what the MP3 was.

My view was it was a pathetic attack on anyone that doesn't agree with him, which was immature and not fitting someone in his position.

I admit, I may have over reacted. I took it more personally than I should've. Okay?

It's just that I wrote a rebuttal against his editorial because I didn't agree with any of his arguments before. Now I've basically just heard that rebuttal with a stupid voice and a lot of hyperbole. I don't like the way he's trying to say he's right by making other people seem like stupid delusional idiots.

Truthfully, I dunno where the hell Fragmaster gets his info from, but he's wrong. Totally wrong. I dont even think he has given any sources to where he had gotten his information from.
